The company was named Van der Heijden STAALBOEK.  A year after, with some international support, a new company was set up in Dobronin, Czech Republic. It was named Vzorkovice. Vzorkovice’s target was to produce quality sample books for lower price. After five successful years in Dobronin, due to the growing capacity and the volume of orders, Vzorkovice had to move to JIhlava in 1997. Since 1997 the Czech company has been operating under the name of STAALBOEK, s.r.o. In 2008, STAALBOEK, s.r.o. moved its headquarters to larger premises in Plandry. STAALBOEK s.r.o. is together with Silfox MB GmbH and  SILFOX SLOVAKIA, s.r.o a part of the group CLEEM, s.r.o.

The history of Staalboek begins in 1885 when a company Van der Heijden was founded in Eindehoven, Netherlands. Van der Heijden specialized in the book trade. Over time the trade developed and expanded in various directions. The company moved from Eindhoven to Hapert and began to specialize in manufacturing of graphic products such as sample books, printing and bookbinding.

In 1992 the company Van der Heijden was taken over by a group of investors who began to concentrate its activity only on sample books.
